MP-17 Prowl

Prowl - Police

It was said that the Autobot insignia was based on Prowl's face, or maybe it was the other way. Prowl was the only Autobot who's alternate form was a police vehicle.

Impression

Prowl's design is almost identical to his cartoon G1 part, and would easily be one of the Masterpiece that is almost flawless.

Back in the days, this vehicle is based on Japan's Police car.

Looks blocky, but was based on the G1 cartoon design.

Overall,  a sturdy and excellent masterpiece figure.

Transformation

Transformation is fairly difficult. The only issues are the joints being very, very tight and force is needed. That is not a bad thing, as this kept the figure sturdy.

To transform from robot to vehicle, I would like to emphasize a few things:

Tug in the knees first, before transforming the leg any further

The door is to be kept open during transformation.

The car base near the rear can be folded-in after the whole rear has been transformed neatly.

In the robot mode, there is a peg to hold the upper part of the body.

Articulation

Prowl has double elbow hinges, which makes it very articulated. The knee are double joint as well.

Though the design does feel bulky, making some of his poses awkward.

Accessories

Gun - One look at the giant box, and it only comes with a mediocre gun.

The gun can be attached in vehicle mode.

Cannon - Although not an external accessory, but prowl do have 2 short shoulder cannons.

All in All

A good figure, and worth getting. But prowl's panda color does easily becomes yellow over the next few years.
