Pokémon Shield - Nintendo Switch

Brought the ever famous 2019 Pokemon Sword and Shield release, 2 weeks ago. This was the first original Pokemon release for Nintendo switch (Pokemon Let's Go was a remake), not to mention that it is the first release with obvious differences between the 2 titles; the story and gym leaders are different in shield and sword.
For one, I loved the game mechanics and had clocked more than 40 hours and counting. Most of the time are spent into catching new pokemons. The gym leader fighting was fun too, with nice simple puzzles and fantastic stadium fights.
The introduction of Dynamax was well done too; but being not able to play online, I was always assigned to dumb-witted AIs. One instance is that the battle was with Gigantamaxed Corviknight and the AI is with a Jolteon; the only moved the AI used is Swift...wth.
In this release, I find Dragon type pokemons to be rubbish. Currently, I have this Axew -> Fraxure -> Haxorus Pokemon, and it kept dying frequently and instantly. Dang...
What I had not understand about Pokemon Shield and Sword release is the protest that the critics brought up. It was said to be the worst Pokemon game ever. Yes I had not played any other Pokemon versions since Red/Yellow version (I played Pokemon Let's Go remake), but I found Pokemon "Sword and Shield" to be interesting. It has a good story line, yes, an actual storyline this time and good graphics (not out of this world). Being a developer I know it's super difficult to include all 800 Pokemons, testing alone can kill the tester and adding abilities will kill the developers; even if it's said that those models can be reused from the old pokemon game. UPDATE: There is expansion to this and the pokedex are now expanding.
I guess it's easy to criticize and being a consumer there's alway a right to complain; but going on a motion to ban it...I think that has gone overboard. I really hope younger generations can tolerate and endure as there is always a choice of not to buy it at all - duhhhhhh. UPDATE: Because of COVID-19 a year later, this Pokemon version became the highest selling Pokemon to-date.
Well I enjoyed my copy and the story are getting interesting now.
UPDATE: Without subscribing to Nintendo, the game becomes boring fast after it ended. Catching dynamax becomes a challenge as the game matches me with lousy and crappy NPC players. It boils to luck to catch Dynamax/Gigantamax pokemon in a raid.
UPDATE: There are 2 expansion sets released on year 2020. One is Isle of Armour(released on June) and Crown Tundra( November). It's a very short play and I did enjoy Isle of Armour as it enables Gigantamaxing existing Pokemons without doing any Max raids and a main side quest. The Crown Tundra is also interesting with Legendary, but the let down of Crown Tundra's game is that Legendary pokemon are not registered into Pokedex; this was a big let down and what worst it's never informed in any "worshippers of Nintendo" on this.
