MP-47 Hound

HOUND

During my teens I went up on a hill riding on a Jeep, with me was 5 other passengers (excluding the driver). That's when it impressed me how powerful this 4-wheeled drive is and how powerful it was to go up a slope built in the 70's and the hill is definitely more that 45 degrees.

It reminds me of Hound, the special transformer who turns into this magnificent jeep.

Impression

He's pretty boxy, thanks to the old car design and his origininal figure. But this figure is sleek, articulated (double joints on kneed and elbow) robot mode. He even comes with a human figure, sam. I has suspicion that Sam/human can fit into Optimus prime, I need to re-confirm on that.

On the vehicle, it's super detailed, with detachable gas tank, spare tires and a hood that can open to reveal it's engine. Gotta say, this is a top notch design.

Transformation

This figure is nerve wrecking to be transformed. It feels like it will break in most transformation part, unfortunately for me, this really happened and the front-left axel that holds the tyre, broke.

Overall it's not too difficult to transform, but there really are parts that needs force and it makes me think twice before executing it.

See how the head/missles are folded. Need to remember when transformed back from robot to vehicle.
The arm's shoulder needs to be snapped on the plastic here.
It's fragile and needs quite a force.

The is a peg to hold the arms and body together.
Be careful not to force on the area circled in blue, I broke mine due to the pressure exerted.
To pull the fist out, use your finger nails. There is a small tab at the grey area.

The angle to store the gun at the leg.

Position and how the hands are being tuck back in when transformed back to vehicle.

All in all

Since i am collecting G1 transformers figure, he's definitely welcomed. Size wise, he sure fits into the collection and having a "GREEN" figure is sure to add in some good colors and spice to the collection.

But nonetheless, this model will break! I felt it's unavoidable...felt bad to need to glue it.

THE VERY SAD PART. Though it can be fixed, but I felt it should not have happened.
UPDATE: Curses Takara, i think it's a design flaw!
