LG-35 Super Ginrai
Review of Super Ginrai
Transformation
A very simple and straightforward transformation, one can even make it possible without the help of the instruction booklet (but still, it's best to be careful). The feet is the only place that needs careful attention to make sure it doesn't break.
Note to be taken for this figure, is that Super Ginrai does not transform into Optimus Convoy before turning into Super Ginrai.

Transformation to Super Ginrai mode, skipping Optimus Convoy. |
Transformation back to truck from the robot mode is easy too. The only part to take note is the cab needs to be pulled upwards before sliding from the white circle at the back of the robot's body.

Articulation
The articulation is good, but balancing the robot mode of Super Ginrai is very difficult as the feet is skinny.

Photo of the articulation. The head can actually turn. |

Articulation of Ginrai is same with his ancestor. |
Feature
Headmaster/Engine - It comes with an engine, which is Ginrai himself.

Back of Ginrai of old and new version. The latter turns into an engine, while the newer version as headmaster. |
Guns - Large guns that can fit headmasters
Trailer - The trailer are not detachable and it is hollow.
Stand?! - Oddly there is a stand in the cab mode.

Ginrai can ride on the cab. Oddly, there is a pullout white ladder/stand. |
All in All
This is not what I do anticipate for. The toy feels light weight and flimsy due to the hollowness of this figure. It also looses the 3-form transformation. However with the upcoming God Bomber which rumors to be able to combine with Super Ginrai, sounds like good news. But if there is an option between the old and new, at least to me, skip this and get the G1 original. PS: But some joints were so old, I broke my OLD Super God Ginrai. =:(
