MP-27 Ironhide

 Ironhide tougher than metal

Toughest autobot
Honest speaking, ironhide does not standout in the cartoon, but he's one of the toughest autobot out there. In G1's original Ironhide toy, his mold is the only mold which is without a physical head; instead it was replaced with a sticker. Rachet who shares the same G1 mold, has the same feature.

Transformation

An easy and satisfying transformation, it will not be a problem if one is to follow the transformation. Once the top is separated, Ironhide's transformation is easy.

Articulation

Ironhide's articulation is quiet a feat, besides the robot's waist that can't move up and down, similar to most masterpiece, ironhide can posed in many ways.
The waist has fold-able skirt-like feature.

Features

The toy no longer resembles or look anywhere near it's G1 toy counterpart. A big difference is definitely at the weapons armament.

Weapons Armament -  One of the difference is that the tail/hind of the toy is no longer separable. Instead it's comes separately as a weapon display.
Tons of weapons
Jet Packs - A nice jetpack from one of the cartoon series were included.
Facial expression: Only 2 interchangeable face for Ironhide. A bit for a disappointment.

Carrying torso: The torso's of Ironhide can be changed, one of the nice feature is that, it comes along with a torso that is used to carry Autobot sideswipe (figures sold seperately).

All in All

He's not really a favorite cartoon character; in the movie this character didn't make much too. But as collection, this is a solid figure and fun to play too. The transformation and design are remarkable and it fits well with all the other masterpieces being displayed together.
Iron hind, tyre hide...no, he's Ironhide.
The diaper look like waist that's everybody has been complaining.
Front of the van
Back of the van. Takara didn't paint the license plate area.
