Dinobot

Dinobot from Kenner/Hasbro review
Dinobot alternate mode
I like Dinobot as much as I do with Optimus Primal. The part Dinobot had to die, made me cried in my teenage year; darn you Beastwars writers, why does it has to be written so good!

Dinobot from Hasbro/Kenner is the one of the best beastwars mold made, and it's mold has been reused multiple times from different colors, to varying sizes. One look at this and one can probably figure out how the transformation works...and the transformation works very well too.

Dinobot robot mode
The original beastwars robot mode came with a mutant mask. It's a bit of an annoyance to the figure and I'm glad it was removed from the CGI animation.

Dinobot's weapon marks the ingenuity of robot's design. The tails turns into a rotating blade(used as shield) with a sword hidden in it's center.

Transformation

The toy is pretty basic; but doesn't fail to impress in articulation. It is fun to be transformed and one can really get it transformed without the aid of an instruction booklet.

Articulation

What can be told of for the original beastwars figures is for the sheer engineering efforts invested into  the figures (except automated transformation beastwars like rattrap).

Robot: It can do yoga poses. The hips can't be articulated and the head can only turned on one axis. Nevertheless, Dinobot by itself is a great robot mode. The dinosaur claws made the hand much pose able in robot mode.

Dinosaur: The head and neck can't move, nor the tail. But being a basic old figure it's does look  amazing.

Features

The weapons are neatly disguised as a part of the animal/dinosaur form; which turns into a rotating shield/blades and a sword.
Pressing the stick button on the tail, spins the blade.

Overall

The figure has been more than 20years old and it never ceases to amaze me. Maybe it's Dinobot's courage, valor and depth that had deeply engraved into my memories that whom made this figure inspirational. I do hope that Takara will take some considerations to turn this into a masterpiece, truely one of the best Maximals to be given some attention.
Tell me a kid who doesn't love fierce looking dinosaurs.
