MP-34 Masterpiece Cheetor/Cheetus
Review on the cat
Cheetor (Cheetus for Japanese), playful and a very loyal maximal, ahem, though not really reliable. I for one, truly welcomes him into the my collection.
There's a lot of complains for his fore-legs being crossed in robot mode. Though, I would say this transformation is an exact adoptation to the original cartoon back in the 1996! I loved it, there's even a peg made to ensure both legs stays together.
Another shot of the playful cat! If anyone had Hasbro's generations Rattrap, that ain't a binocular, but a transparent hand-grenade kept in Rattrap's left arm.
The torso of beast mode is one of the difficult part to figure out. The image above highlights the main difficulty of robot to beast transformation.
1) The robot's shoulders needs to be detached.
2) Make sure the rivets are nicely folded, so that the whole arm can snuggle nicely into the hollow torso.
3) The thumb of the robot has to be aligned into the holes hidden in the neck.
Articulation
Robot mode articulation is nearly perfect. Though posing it does feel fragile as it's really skinny in most parts.
In beast mode articulations are really limited. The neck can be pulled out and it can only sways left and right. Another drawback, is that cheetor has an impossible feat to sit; as the legs are could only bend to a limited degree.
Features
Photoshooting this character is fun.The colors are true to the cartoon. Takara even went thru an extra length to ensure the spots are DIGITALIZED (enlarge these images to see clearer).
All in All
If anyone loves beast wars, this figure will not disappoint. So that's it from me.

Transformation
It's complicated! The transformation does share the same complexity similar to Masterpiece Optimus Primal; and the transformation has an impression of non-really-fitting-together feels. The torso of beast mode is one of the difficult part to figure out. Some extra blurring to the photo editing may help though. |

The eyes can be poped up, so you don't need to worry about the beast face expressions. |
